So I follow the link and try to install Java but after allowing ActiveX control the Installer is 'preparing to install' but then after about a minute I get the following message: 'The windows Installer Service could not be accessed.
This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance.' I have reinstalled Windows Installer according to the instructions on Microsoft's Website but still the same result.this is a little confusing eh? Oh, that's weird.
